The UK’s Military Intelligence Service Unit (MIS) is bringing together all military intelligence services to speed information gathering, while NATO’s Secretary General warned that Europe is on a course for a war with Russia.
The UK government has launched a new division that unifies all intelligence units and organisations within defence under one organisation for the first time.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that the division consolidates units from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force, thereby accelerating the process of gathering, analysing, and sharing information across the Armed Forces.
This is necessary because of the escalating threats to the UK, including cyberattacks, disrupted satellites, maritime threats, and disinformation.

It is also deemed necessary to launch a new Defence Counter-Intelligence Unit (DCIU) as the MOD revealed that hostile intelligence activity has risen by more than 50%.
The very real threat of war in today’s world means cyber attacks could have a major effect on our defence systems and the capabilities of the military.
The Russians never left up and are constantly trying to attack the establishment and especially the military at this point in time. That’s why strengthening our resources makes a lot of sense for now and for the future.
