Deepfake videos will use AI to digitally alter footage, they sometimes blend real visuals with fake audio to make it appear as if the person in the video is saying something they never said. This is regularly seen on on social media using famous fake people. However, this is increasingly being used to create completely AI-generated videos featuring people, places and sounds that never existed. 

Scammers will likely capitalise on the ease of AI text generators to create completely fictional financial and legal advisors, combined with deepfake footage to create persuasive professional personalities.

These advisors could become social media influencers, generating large followings for their fake financial and legal advice called finfluencers, striving to build trust in their perceived expertise. This will lay the foundation to devise and promote scams that their followers will be more likely to trust, invest in and pay for.

It will be very hard to differentiate the real world from the fake as the lines are becoming more and more blurred online. You can’t believe everything you see which the younger generation are aware of, but the older generations may not be so aware of the traps that they could fall into.
