A scam phishing email which claims to be from NatWest tells you that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will be making biometric login, using a biological trait like your fingerprint a mandatory requirement.
This is the wording that they have choose to use in this scam.
Dear Customer,
As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening security and maintaining regulatory compliance, we are updating our authentication process.
Beginning 22nd December, biological login will become mandatory to access your account, in line with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines. This enhanced authentication method represents our new, secure approach to protecting your account.

This is a totally fabricated lie. The FCA does require banks to implement Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), such as getting you to enter in a one-time passcode sent to your phone before logging into online banking on a computer, but biometric checks are definitely not mandatory.
