I am Peter Flynn the website owner and editor. I have worked in the IT industry for many years and have seen many changes. Some I have seen coming others were a big surprise, that’s one of the great joys of the industry as you never know what’s next.
I have always enjoyed learning new things which have been created from nothing such as cryptocurrency and the blockchain, what an amazing technical feat that has been. But often times something is released that is made out to be sensational and revolutionary but underneath it really is not that different may be a few extra bells and whistles have been added operating systems come to mind.
But that’s enough about the past now I’m looking at today and the future, cyber is an all encompassing title that has so many different elements to it and that is where I concentrate my time and effort.
The cyber world is a fascinating place, familiar to some and alien to others, that’s where I come in.
I didn’t want to build yet another cyber website with a huge amount of technical information only techies would appreciated and understand there would be no point. I decided to do something a little different and write relatable articles that explain varying elements of the cyber world in an understandable way.
I also wanted to make it about England not global cyber news and information. What affects us in England particularly in news stories. Inevitably the UK is mentioned as many organisations provide news and statistics for the UK rather than just for England.
I don’t look at things through rosed coloured spectacles, but at the same I am not pretending every new technology is the bees knees, I prefer to take a balanced view. The cyber world continues to change and grow which can be good and can be bad. Often times it’s not the technology that is the issue it is how it is applied and the repercussions that it creates in the real world.
I also write about cyber help and advice so that you can understand what it is and how it may affect you. There are inevitably technical references but I do try to keep them to a minimum, helping and advising with practical down to earth explanations that can be applied in the real world is my aim.
I share my opinions throughout the articles from what I consider to be a fair and honest perspective. You may agree or not but you are welcome to share your opinions too. My views are my own and I am not influenced by anybody.
Amazon affiliate links are available throughout the site and a small commission is paid to me when you make a purchase. This helps to fund my work and associated costs.
I hope you enjoy browsing around and finding some helpful advice along the way.
